Play review. AUTOMÁTICOS.

For me this was a very well done play by Adrian Galarcep. Playing in a spectacular way with each character and making them all important. letting know the people how much they depend on each other, the play plot is about a group of teenagers amd they have to perform a work for the school science fair. Omar, carol, tony and cristina, the new girl who just came to school and is trying her best to be considerated as one of the gropu members. The teens first meet in Omar´s house, place where they start discussin about many thing, but mainly about strange weather events all around the world, they decide to blame this strange phenomenoms to the indiscrimintae cut of trees that is taking place in the amazonas rainforest. As a result, a kind of incomprehensible virus appropiates the appliances, including the mannequins that had been connected to the electricity showing this the changes being experienced by the world and its habitants, the human race. the work was very well produced by being sober and contemporary at the same time generating a dazzle in the viewers. The stage was simply but good enough. The light managment was one of the detail i like the most it was perectly managed by the producers with a touch of flashing lights making of the stage a very striking one. A stage that people wanted to see. The clothing weared could be improved at some times boring or not modern enough for the play, because when you talk about the stage and light managment it was very modern and updated. The play touchs a very interesting point of how we the human race have not such a big difference with the robots, we are a very miserable race, cold and dark as nobody. human race is the best but also the worst race alive. this play demonstartes the big contrast of our race and our lives.
finally must of the elements used in the play were taken to a good level. teh level of the play was not average. my point of view is that it was a good play with a second meaning, a very important one how we the human race can have such meaningless lives. This play show in depth the problems of humans and all its surroundings.

IL Dottore "Commedia dell'Arte"

This video supports the thery just exposed on my previous entry, showing how dottore performs, not very physcial but with an imponent tone of voice which make him superior to the others, he is also lenaning back showing some problems with his back and with a big belly.

In commedia dell arte performance i was assigned to present , Ill Dottore. Il dottore is a character whose main golas are be an obstahe direction of the play.cle to the lovers and discuss with pantalone which is his competitor, friend or enemy depending the direction of the play. He is an old man, he is also a rich person who likes to tell everybody what to do considering himslef superior because the studies he did in the most important universities in Italy or France during the renaissance era. Dottore is a person who doesnt like listening  to anyone because he pretends he knows evrything about everything. Dottore is in love with himself proud of everything he does, also he is a very rich old man who enjoys life in a exagerated way eating and drinking like an animal.
He is always making fun of the opposite sex telling them they are dum, and that they are so ignorant being cruel and mean with them.
Dottore is a very unique character beacuse the clothes he wear always in black and very elegant but what makes him the most unique is his mask covring only his forehead and nose and he is also very obese.
Dottore is always touching his belly looking around to have somenthing to talk about, he also mispronounces pantalone´s name making fun of him on a mean way.
Although dottore is not a very physical charcter he apports a sense of irony, sarcasm and very unique humor to the play

FOOLS.

I had the fortune to attend the first play of the year and it was amazing. I have to confess that it was a good one, I didn’t know the school had such a great talent on acting, although I dint like some of the characters I can see how difficult it is to act on stage and actually do it well so this was a very nice experience. I had the privilege to talk to some of the actors of the play and the told in short how was this play developed and what characters were they doing and what exact roll were they taking on the play.

The play developed on a very smooth way since the beginning everything was clear and very well exposed to the audience, showing contrast in colors and in each character, but at the same time showing how fool they were. This teacher plays an important role on the play but doing some constructive critic I felt it boring when he started to become fool as well (thank god it was only for a while), because when he did the roll of professor, kind of smart professor he was doing it very well. I think we all in the audience felt the not so good part.

I was amazed by the doctors roll, for me the best actor in stage showing clarity on his voice, pauses done in a very exact way and giving us a lot of motives to laugh about with his UMMM yesss, it was wonderful, clean and clear, far the best one in stage.

I Would like to congratulate you Ms Morrison for doing such an amazing play, showing also your talent also as a director. Well done, and thank you for amusing and giving us a terrific night.

Commedia Dell'arte reflection.

Today on class we were interpreting the different characters that compose a commedia dell'arte. First we started interpreting Il Zani which is a stupid character is very curious about everything and as you said it has a strange pose and everything is guided by his nose, his entire body is guided by the nose. It was very fun to interpret this character, it can be dum but it is not easy at all to interpreter him because it has to be very close to the people and needs to have a very strong sense of humor.
After we interpreted the lovers which are characters whit a strong sense for love and passions, they are characterized because they wear fashionable clothes are young, graceful and attractive they are also in love with themselves and are sincere characters. We as a class try to develop them in a good way but it wasnt easy because people werent comfortable with the concept but at the end it was all good and in my concept it was better than the zanni, i didnt like the zanni because it was a complete mess and no one was able to interpret it in a good way

Presentation for GIN.

As we were practicing today, chatting and commenting on different ideas we came with solid opinions for the presentation. This presentation will not be long but considering this fact we really have to make an effort to plan a good presentation and show people that theatre can be represented in many ways no matter the lenght or the topic of the presentation if is solid and has a strong message in our case will be the issue of human rights. in class we came with good ideas we were also applying the technique of freezing while acting.
at last we choose the best monologues in class to develop them in GIN connecting some of them to get a more precise and concise idea so we can show the message in a clear way. Finally we hope people get the message of our class, but we have to accept that present in ten minutes and get into people mind is not easy at all. they have been extraordinary films that have been forgotten so a presentation of ten minutes is hard, hopefully we get into people mind and leave them a message.

Journal reflection on monologues.

This time in class we were able to see our classmates present thier monologues. This was a very special class because we understood our classmates characters and what and why were their inspiration to do them.
it was a very powerful class. i learned a lot about my classmates and i was a able to see their point of view and opinion in the principal topic of this monologues human rights.they were a lot of creative monologues but i have to tell that in some of them we have to improve counting myself how to expose it and get to people in a stronger way. i have come with this idea that while you were abscent we dindt know exactly what to do and we dindt have a guide or someone supporting us. im expecting to develop my monologue on a better way with your help so i can act and give the strong message that i have to people and as well have a good grade but my main point is to go into people mind with a strong idea.

Global issue monologue. Freedom

I want FREEDOM, a freedom which I can use in this lonely island that they have left us, me and other seven every day we are trying to survive in a different way, something to eat and every basics that we the human race need to survive even though we don’t look like humans anymore we have turned into a weird but special group of people. Once I thought about killing my partner because I haven’t found anything to eat. Every single thing in my heart grows dark and cold, hate is everything now for me, I’ve forget about everything my life here is only looking for everyday survival. I feel locked up as an assassin who I’m not. There’s been night that I haven’t sleep not because I don’t want to but ,because I can’t my heart and my mind are not able to rest in this period of darkness. Is depressive that I already thought of suicide in my mind at this point I want to slit my wrist and end this bullshit.  I’m so miserable right now that even death is not calling me anymore, no one wants me. The light of the sun gets stronger everyday and water is almost over I’m suffering here while this people play with my soul, my heart and my freedom . I’ve become into an animal and as fact I will not talk anymore. I’m sick of everything right now but I hope no more people are being sent to this island because they are expressing their ideas in a free way.

Dramatic monologue

Dramatic monologues play a very importnat role in theatre and other arts what ive researched the main priciple controlling the poets choice of what te speaker says so the reader can be interested in what the monologue is about and what the speaker is saying. The romantic poets are characterized to be one of the most importants in this genre, they play with psychology of the people and goes int people mind that they really have to think and try to understand  in a way how do this artists work with people mind. dramatic monologues are a great way to see poets point of view the y really come into you and make you feel bad when  the character is feeling bad it is as you feeling bad, people really go into it and it can become a serious problem. So it is a very strong way to come into people mind and a great way to show different points of view.

Impro in class

Since the begginig because i am a very quiet and shy person i was not happy at all, but then as the impro games went on i was enjoying as no one else i was really into it, i know that my attitude at first was not the best but is because the reason i mentioned first, this is my first time in a drama and theatre class but as the class goes thru the year i will for sure get the flow and leave some of my quiet and shy aspects behind, hopefully those changes come early so i can be more participative in class and attentive as well, because there are so many important and interesting topics in the class that i would love to learn in the better way possible, because i am an active reader who consider art a very important aspect in life.

Reflecting on Lysistrata presentations.

When i first heard that we were going to do some presentations about the play i thought everythings was already cleared and that we already knew the play in all their perspectives, but then i start reading and searching for different points of view of how differetnly the people can see a single play and how many meanings it has. Then i understood how important was to present because you see other people point of view and  how different we see things, so when you said to present or act in a modern old or anyway we as a class saw hoy many point of view there is in people of the same school, with the same education....very intersting, at last the presentation came really well.

Monologue.

I want freedom, freedom which i can use just at least to think differently a freedom where the government or politics can not influence my daily life routine or just my thoughts. I feel locked up just as a prisoner or an assassin which could have killed a dozen of people, my mind is also in jail and my heart is crushing inside just because the fact that i cant say or express what i feel. My thoughts and my heart is growing cold and dark, i cant sleep i swear to god i want to just slit my wrists and end this bullshit i cant believe suicide is my mind i want to leave i feel like dead is calling me at this miserable life which nothing worths but just the power of this people while i live here as a rat i´m sick of people lying i´m sick of bitches talking as matter fact i´m sick of talking.
